Michael takes us to school on Dairy:

There are different types of bioactive peptides that are formed in the human gut from milk proteins called casomorphins. These compound are produced from the breaking down of a milk protein called casein, and one of these compounds is called beta-casomorphin-7.   This compound specifically stimulates mucus production from certain glands located in your gut. If the gut becomes “leaky” which it certainly does if you eat grains and/or legumes (at the very least), this beta-casomorphin-7 enters the blood stream where it will travel to your chest and, it WILL stimulate mucus production from the MUC5AC glands located in the lungs and respiratory tracts. This causes a decreased ability to breath properly and is directly linked to exercise induced asthma.
What does this mean? It’s one of the many reasons why milk is something you should avoid. Other reasons to avoid dairy are: it means increased weight loss potential, better ability to breathe, a SIGNIFICANT decrease in risk for cancer, and much much more.
