Split Jerk

October 16, 2012 - Tuesday

Workout of the Day
A.
Take 12-15 minutes to work on technique and build to a heavy, but not necessarily 1-RM,
Split Jerk

B.
Three rounds for time of:
135/95 lbs Thrusters x 10 reps
70/53# Kettlebell Swings x 15 reps
Pull-Ups x 20 reps   (Beat swing progression for those that don’t have full kipping pullups)

Foot placement is key in the split jerk.  Below, you’ll find a diagram of the relationship of jumping to landing position for the split jerk.  We will go over it in class, but it will be helpful to be familiar with it.
