Workout of the Day
Four rounds for time of:
Row 400 Meters
Run 400 Meters

(This workout will be performed as a relay race in teams of three or four. The moment one member comes off the rower, the next teammate may begin rowing. The workout is completed when each member of the team has rowed and run 1600 meters. If you don’t have teammates to share the burden, give yourself 2-3 minutes of rest between rounds, and score the times for each round.)

Express:  3 rounds for time

 

 

Workout of the Day
In teams of two, with only one partner working at a time, complete rounds of 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10 reps for time of:
Kettlebell Swings (24/16 kg)
Pull-Ups

 

Rest exactly 2 minutes, and then . . .

 

Complete rounds of 50, 40, 30, 20 and 10 reps for time of:
Thruster (95/65 lbs.)
Box Jumps (24″/20″)

 

Workout of the Day
In teams of two, complete four sets of:
Row 1000 Meters
300 Meter Farmers Walk

Partners can partition row and carry however they would like

In teams of two, with only one partner working at any time, complete:
300 Walking Lunge Steps
1200 Meter Relay Run with Med Ball
100 Burpees

Pool Party!

Jenna, Michaela, and Val have graciously offered to host a Cactus CF Pool Party at their new house and it is going off at Noon on May 5th!

Details:

  • BYOB and meat for the grill.  The hosts will provide some to get the party started, but I’m sure more will be needed.
  • 7310 E. Solcito Ln
  • Kids and Spouses are welcome, but there are no lifeguards and no pool fence, so keep an eye on your kiddos!
  • Gated community, so please RSVP for gate code at [email protected]
  • Parking is limited so please carpool.  Parking behind the gym is encouraged!
  • Everyone in the gym is invited, so please come, and if you didn’t get a FB invite, friend Kevin so that you’ll get one next time!

Workout of the Day
In teams of two, with one partner running at all times, complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
Power Clean x 10 reps (135/95 lbs)
Hand-Release Push-Ups x 10 reps
400 Meter Run

Only on partner may be working on the power cleans or push-ups, and only one partner may be running at a time.

A.
Three sets of:
Back Squat x 8-10 reps @ 3011
Rest 2 minutes
Weighted Pull-Ups x 2-3 reps
Rest 2 minutes

B.
In teams of two, partners alternate rounds to complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 15 minutes of:
Wall Ball x 10 reps (20/12 lbs)
Pull-Ups x 10 reps
Hand-Release Push-Ups x 10 reps

Workout of the Day
In teams of two, partners alternate rounds to complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 30 minutes of:
95/65 lb Thrusters x 10 reps
24″/20″ Box Jumps x 10 reps
400 Meter Run

 

Saturday is ‘Bring a Friend’ day at Cactus CrossFit!  If you have a friend who is curious about CrossFit, or maybe just ‘thinks’ they know how to get fit, bring them down to try out a free class!
